*catches up on LJ news*
*headesk*

Next step: Mastering LJ cuts again

Next step:
1- backing up as much as my LJ stuff as I can
2- write as steamy a pile of gay PWP as I can still come up with in honor of our new Russian overlords
3- figure out where to migrate Outlands to...

Throwing my support in for AO3 as well; love the site, much more viewer friendly than LJ (I too am hoping you import all your works over so I can DL them :x)

Hello again - more of your writing would be a very good thing.

Dreamwidth is very similar to LJ and will automatically import ALL your LJ back to the year dot. It says it might take three days at periods of high demand (ie when the LJ Lords and Masters have done something to upset folk like the new TOS) but mine only took a couple of hours on the tail end of that exodus.

AO3 is good for reading and allows comments - I haven't posted anything there yet so can't say how easy that is. I like being able to download fics in different (locked) formats like pdf. Then I don't have to pause to find the next chapter!

Please let us know where you go.

I'm glad to hear from you again! Welcome back!
My recs would be the same :
- Dreamwidth if you want to keep posting from time to time but also to mirror your whole LJ and save all the random posts and comments as well.
- AO3 for safe and easy to find/navigate/read archival (and I would be lying if the thought of your fics going on unarchived and at risk of random deletion doesn't make me die a bit inside...)
If you are interested in keeping all your past fics available in the future, I cannot recommend AO3 strongly enough! It's my favourite archive both as a reader and as a writer... Saving all your fics on AO3 would probably take some time, but it would be so worth it! You would be able to organise stories inside series, browse trough them by fandom, order of posting (you can backdate) or series as wall as key words, rating or pairing and for long works readers would be able to download epubs files...

Welcome back! I was re-reading some of your fics recently, and thinking of you. This whole new LJ thing is a pain. A few other people recommended it, to you already, and I'm throwing my support behind you transporting your fics to AO3. It's a LOT easier to keep track that way!

Glad you're back! I don't have any recs beyond what people have already said, but please do keep updating, whatever site you migrate to. :)
