My paranoia concerning forms of public transport knows no bounds. I was scared shitless of flying, and now with the advent of bombs on trains it seems my only safe bet is walking.

I make a lousy passenger, regardless of the mode of transport. Which is probably why I'm a biker. Because if I die, I'll have no one to blame but myself. Which is strangely reassuring.

der_erlkoenig has asked me to let you know that he has been hospitalized (and without internet access) this past week after suffering a ruptured appendix and having had surgery on Monday. He is doing well now and should be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Cheers!
