We had a tour guide for the wandering around today -- he was quite good -- showed us a lot of stuff we would never have seen otherwise. Nice guy too, except he had a kind of a hate on for Muslims. (I don't even know that you're getting these comments while you're there, but I'll respond anyway. :P)

Wow, and I thought I knew some harsh Irish Republicans... And no, I don't mean Irish Americans who happen to like the Republican Party. :P

Does Canada really care about its religious demographics? I think that'd be more the thing than the history as a whole. That is, after all, the biggest divide in the Middle East, in my opinion.

My theory is that Canada's greatest strength (as well as perhaps it's most striking weakness) is that virtually no-one gives a damn about its history.

Heh. Canada's barely overpowered anyone.
