This really is nothing new as it is simply yet another example of the phenomenon of pareidolia, the tendency for humans to see faces in various shapes and patterns. Haha. BoingBoing.com had an interesting little blog spot today pointing out the fact that Hot Topic's ubiquitous Emily The Strange character is a blatant rip off of a 1978 book character. Since there is apparently an Emily Movie in the works for a 2010 release, someone better start asking about their mother fuckin' movie check!
