As someone who wanted to be grown up way before it was necessary, let me tell you what I'd do: Run for it. My opportunities to be careless are long gone, and I want them back. Impossible, unfortunately.

I'm just saying, you still have time to buckle down and be a grown up with lots of responsibilities...you won't always have the chance to throw caution to the wind and then flip it off as you drive off in the opposite direction.

Thanks for the input, lady.

Everyone with a house and kids seems to say the same, that responsibility now prevents them from ever taking such chances. I hear a lot of jealousy, and in the same I'm concerned at the idea of not doing it, and regretting it the rest of my life.
A sacrifice for career now will probably ensure continual excuses on the road to added responsibility. And I probably won't be interested in such a trip when I'm 50.

Reason says I'm an idiot, however ;)

Stay, we drink more beer, assuming I don't get to tired before you show up. Go.. It's a pretty safe assumption you wouldn't be homeless when you got back. I'd put you up, and I'm sure many others would too.

Sounds like a meeting with the bobs is in order tho.

Yea, I planned speaking with the big G at in the next few days. Our ritual of passing beers is fun and all, but not sure that its worth staying.

I apt to doing stupid things, and should probably continue the tradition.

Follow your fleeting heart. We will all be around when you get back, and it's far better to do it (and risk thinking it might have been better if you hadn't) then not do it (and wonder for the rest of time why the hell you didn't).

You have a tough call- but I think you already know what you need to do, I'd like to say stay, but I can't, these opportunities only come every so often- besides when you come back Steve will be running the place ( ... )
