Spring has sprung! There are blossoms popping up everywhere, and the weather has been basically delightful for the past few days. Why can't it be 20°C and sunny and breezy FOREVER? UGH. (There's a couple of jaybirds perched in the trees across the way. For now I can still see the lake through the branches, but in a couple of weeks they'll be so ( Read more... )

I'm a huge huge fan of the Ocean Salt scrub. IT'S LIKE THROWING A MARGARITA AT YOUR FACE AND SMUSHING YOUR HEAD AROUND IN THE SAND, ONLY NOT AT ALL DANGEROUS TO YOUR EYESIGHT.

P.S. When Herbal Essences redid their line, I travelled to three states to develop a stash of rose hips shampoo that I have lingering for special occasions.

Dude, seriously, THIS COMMENT HAS BEEN INCREDIBLY HELPFUL, SO THANK YOU. ♥ I actually went back for some stuff (and I did get a sample of Jumping Juniper, which I haven't tried yet!) and bought a pot of Mask of Magnaminty, which the sales girl seemed to be mildly surprised to hear I use like a regular cleanser morning and night? She was like, "... well, if your skin can take it...", but so far I've been really happy with it. *hands*

Oh, and the soap. Don't get me started on the soap. I want to try ALL OF IT, but for now I am mostly stuck on Chox Away. Nnngh.

Mask of Magnaminty isn't formulated to be used as a cleanser, and contains numerous powerful ingredients, which is why she would have been surprised. I mean, we recommended it to people to use as a mask for back acne, for example. But one of the greatest things about Lush products is that they are almost all multi-use! Shower gel as shampoo, face cream as hair gel - I use Ultra Bland for everything from foot cream to lip balm to sticking glitter on my face, if that's what I'm in the mood for! Do watch out for redness or soreness if you're using it EVERY day, but if it works for you, then keep at it!

It makes my face feel really lovely, actually! And YES I love that you can use the products for pretty much anything. Ugh, Lush. ♥

NNNGH LUSH. I AM THE MOST ADDICTED TO LUSH, FOR REAL.

I second whoever recommended Ocean Salt scrub up there, that shit is amazing. It makes my skin so smooth. Also, kind of tastes nice. <.< For facial moisturiser I use Imperialis (nngh) and I've just discovered their Charity Pot hand and body lotion, which smells awesome and also eases consumer guilt! In terms of shampoo though, the only one I've tried is the Jumpin' Juniper solid shampoo. It smelled really lovely, but I can't remember how it worked.

In conclusion, NNNGH LUSH.

I got a sample of Jumping Juniper! \o/ I'm excited to try it.

And I got the Fair Trade Foot Lotion, which I've mostly used on my hands, and it's soft and smells like peppermint gum, and uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh. ♥♥♥
