I need a little help with an idea or 2. i've got allie by myself for the weekend. tonight is covered but i need something to do for saturday.. and possible sunday day...

i already used my good ideas on movies.. unless there's another kid movie this week besides the Beverly hills one.

Kid friendly haunted house?

Children's museum, science museum, lunch out, nature center (a lot of nature centers and Audobon centers are offering Sat. activities for kids and families right now), mall hop (insert evil laugh here), check if any of her favorite authors are doing a book signing this weekend, corn maze/haunted house, amusement park, apple picking, pumpkin carving, getting her Halloween costume, sampling Halloween candy handouts for...er...quality control, board game marathon, movie and popcorn night at home, invite some of her friends for a sleepover (should I bring back the evil laugh?), bike ride, go kart racing, yard work (bonding over chores)....

I dunno if you have them in CT, but corn mazes in upstate NY are always fun. :)

That said - City of Ember does come out this weekend.

I think Greg mentioned the CT Ren Faire is this weekend...

There's also a free admission pumpkin festival in Fairfield:

We went to the CT Ren Faire two weeks ago for their "school day." It was fun; they definitely have a good handle on what kids are interested in. There's a discount coupon on their website that I think is still valid.
