By the way, you have banners to save here at dmhg-icontest I guess you missed the entry since it's been posted a week ago, so I thought I'd mention it.
Which program do you use? In many program, all you have to do is duplicate the image and set the layer to Screen.
You might be interested to read some tutorials to learn a few trick with your program, some icons tutorials communities have tags for each specific program.
I have Gimp (because I can't afford to buy Photoshop) and I look through gimp tutorials, which is obviously more about pics in general than icons. coloring help will probably help me A LOT; I have no idea what I'm doing there. The only thing I've mastered in various ways has been black and white.
I see now I wrote "icon_tutorial" twice. lol But if you look at the tags of that community, there is one for "program: gimp" so it should be useful for you.
However, some tutorial works for many programs, I know most people use Photoshop, but I always used Pain Shop Pro, and many tutorials meant for other programs works for mine as well, the only thing that cannot work are the ones that use Selective Coloring, but sometimes I simply skip that step. lol Anyway, have fun, and try new things :D
Oh, and now that I know which program you use, this community could be useful as well: gimp-users :D The first few entries seems to be questions, but if you scroll down you'll see that there are icon turorials.
