August - what journalists in the U.K. refer to as 'silly month' because with parliament in recess there is little truly newsworthy, and so you get news about someone's cat video going viral on YouTube, health scare stories and, of course, THE FIRST PICTURE OF THE ROYAL BABY!!! ZOMG!!!
Things are a little busy/crazy/stressful in my personal life at the moment, but I am still kind of working on Book II. I'm 'rewarding' myself for finishing Book I by learning to use Scrivener (because for nerds like me, that is a reward...) which has a nifty index card figure which I have decided I can't do without. I NEED INDEX CARDS. I NEED A VIRTUAL PINBOARD AND I NEED IT NOW!
But the other really exciting (for me) thing about Scrivener is that it lets you churn out your 'book' as an ebook. It's all a bit complicated so I'm having an online lesson on the wretched thing tomorrow (Nobel Prize for Nerdiness - WIN) in the hope that I will eventually be able to compile an ebook for people to download and read on their Kindle/Kobo etc. At the very least I'm hoping to have decently formatted PDF up and downloadable in the next couple of weeks. I know that some of you expressed an interest on having a single file for the whole story before, so I hope that this will inspire people to re-read the story so far, and, of course, to tell their friends about it ;)
Anyway, this is it from me for now.
Don't forget, if you haven't yet caught up with the story,
Chapter 16 - 'Given to Fly' - the last chapter of Book 1 - is up. Read it, enjoy it and if you can, leave a comment to let me have your thoughts.
Thanks for reading, and have a great end of summer, everyone!
