The last and possibly only corporate job I've ever had was when I worked at Time-Warner for the summer. Since then every job I've had has been gov't or education. Every time I've interviewed with a regular company, the whole environment seems weird... like *charged* with uncomfortableness. That job at ARC was gov't but unfortunately they liked to pretend to be corporate, which is one reason I was so miserable.
Yesterday my boss was talking to me about my future prospects here, like becoming a high level manager, and I'm like "OK, as long as I can still have toys on my desk and wear sandals and listen to NIN while I'm working, it's all good..."
And yeah, lucky for you, you're existing within a corporate but at least mostly freed from the corporate office. Mostly.
