As for how I know who you are, a friend of mine showed me your entry. I haven't read anybody's livejournals in years, really.
I hope I didn't make you feel too bad, and I was probably a little rude/heated about it, but she is just a good friend of mine. The last thing I'd want to see, if I was her, was a bunch of livejournal entries written about me after I made a mistake like that.
I really appreciate your apology - and your concern - and I do understand your point, but I think the whole situation was a point in itself. It doesn't take a livejournal entry for people to understand what happened. Does that make sense? I hope so.
I understand, and hence why I removed the post. I didn't realize that perhaps I WAS being insensitive, and I just needed someone else to point that out to me. I'm not upset about it (I was at the time, but no hard feelings now at all), I just think that too often people gloss over these things unless they're really close to the person involved (which you are) and it's something that just shouldn't be ignored. But thank you. I understand, and I'll try and be more considerate of others in the future.
