No Other Way
There was something magical about how everything in her life was going.
Oh, sure, she knew there wasn’t any actual magic involved, but it felt like it.
She had lost her husband, spent years trying to find someone else to take his spot and failed. Lost her daughter to a time travelling alien, and then her daughter was back, but against her will.
Then she had gained back her husband. Her husband who had been dead, alive again, because it was an alternate version of him. An alternate version of him who had lost the alternate version of her.
She never gained back her daughter though, and she missed her. Even seeing her everyday didn’t help.
Then she found out she was pregnant. She had lost one child to someone else a world away, but had gained another.
Jackie Tyler decided her life was one of the most confusing lives ever lived.
And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
