Remember that terrible map of Texas you had to study back in XX grade that broke the state into plains, woodlands, and desert and then the teacher would brag about how diverse Texas is? Well all those sad little cities in the "plains" sector get lots and lots of dirt and drought. The desert gets drought too, but they expect it and don't bitch like suburban housewives do when they can't water their hydrangeas 8 times a week.
actually, no. I dont remember doing that in XX grade because i wasnt here in XX grade and I didnt have to waste my time on a whole year of the history of one not-so-little but still overly pompus state. :P
You're lucky you didn't have to sit through a year of that. I don't care about barbed wire, or cattle brands and what they mean. Anywho, I hate the wind in Wichita Falls too. And Wichita Falls is not windy because it is a podunk town. Wichita Falls is weird, it wants to act like a small town (technically it is a city), yet there are 105,000 people that live there.
