Cos 1 just isn't enough

So last night I joined a Karate club...cos apparently one martial art isn't enough any more. For the moment I am doing Shoto-Budo but depending on what the organisation is like, I may move to another style (but at this stage I don't know enough about Karate to really make any judgements). It was a hell of a lot of fun and it seems to be less about

Not so much addicted as I really enjoy it. I love the ability to learn something that has such a strong history while doing some form of physical exercise.

My boyfriend says, "Look for a good internal school of Shaolin, one who practices the medicine as well. Look for a teacher for whom it has been tranformative. Failing that, because schools like that are pretty rare in the West, perhaps someone who is entitled to teach all 3 of Tai Ji Chuan, Xing Yi, and Ba Gua."

(Tony's credentials are that did karate for 25 yrs, shaolin for 10 and aikido for 3, has black belts in judo, karate and tae kwon do.)
