Pie Update and Bonus Pie Flashback

Because I know you all are dying to know how my pot pie turned out last night-- it was yummy! There were a few gooey spots on the top crust but not too bad. (Contessa, I did in fact remove the foil tent to brown the top) And the insides of the pie make it all worth it, for those of us (like me and dh) who fondly recall scarfing those small frozen ( Read more... )

I used to carefully peel the tops off the little pot pie, eat the filling and save all of the crust for last. You're right, such a comfort food. After your post yesterday, I thought about making one from scratch too. The only thing is I'd have to fill it with chili or something before the twins would eat it.
