Here's the first piece of art from The Pilot's Guide to the Core Worlds. It's an "official portrait" of the governor-general of Center Sector.

She looks vaguely like Laura Roslin.

This makes me want to kill her, very, very dead.

I don't quite see the resemblance myself, but, if you do, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

It's the pose. Physically, no, not terribly, but the attitude seems there. Well, that and she's in a suit.

But very nice. :)

Oh, haha! Same here!

Except that it was more like Roslin + Clinton + Thatcher.

Except with more bling.

Seeing as I told the artist to go with a "female Grand Moff Tarkin" vibe, I'm pretty pleased.

Hmm, not getting the Tarkin vibe.

But then again, Tarkin was remarkably unsubtle, and this woman feels like she's used to browbeating her coalition members without resorting to blowing up plaents, so that is good.

She reminds me of one of former boss of mine. That aside, nice piece.

Very nice! She looks powerful, in charge, and more than a little bit evil. I like the outfit, too.

Yeah, I'm very fond of the outfit too. The picture turned out really well.
