This journal was inspired by my travels to the Netherlands and Belgium over the past year. The months I spent in Belgium last summer, and across Europe, were the first time I traveled overseas on my own. haha, it sounds like the two of us could be good friends. one of the only things that provides me with inspiration is the fact that i've seen places other than this continent. that said, i don't even live in america! canada isn't all it's cracked up to be, although the things i hear in american media (i.e. most media available in canada) portray this is some socialist paradise. however, i can see america towering above the skyline from the end of the street (detroit), so i live closer than most.

imagine, a continent with affordable and widely available public transportation, frequent and widely attended protests, the BBC.. haha, and tiny cars. this place does seem like hell, even though europe DOES have it's fair share of problems as well.
