Who'd have thought that finding a Whole Foods store an hour from here (with plans for one 20 minutes away) would be cause for joy? It's the little things, I'm telling you!

I have officially been accepted at Johnson and Wales to start in September as a Baking and Pastry Arts student. They also gave me a $3000 scholarship award (good for up to 4 years, even though I'll only be there one). I am happy!

I decided to take both days offered to me at the beginning of the week (technically, Tuesday was a workday, but it was optional so I opted to NOT work). This resulted in me having a rather odd week so far. To recap ( Read more... )

Christmas was good. My mommy was surprised when I showed up at my aunt's house. I love my aunts. I haven't a clue how they managed to keep that a secret. But they did. It rocked.
