I've read Cicero in Latin and Demosthenes in Greek, but I've never encountered rhetoric like Vice-President Pence used in the acceptance speech for his nomination: "We'll make America great again, again."

LOL. :) Cicero wasn't bad; I found it quite straightforward in Latin classes.
