Okay, so I haven't updated in forever....and if it weren't for facebook you could think I was lying dead in a ditch somewhere....but whatever.

I saw the Harry Potter movie, and since I know you call care about my reflections so much, they are getting posted here. Spoilers.

There are a ton of spelling errors because I haven't read the book in forever.

+ That guy who always appeared next to Krum looked like a cross between Jafar and Nikolia's friend George.
+ Karkaroff looked like Rasputin
+ Harry looked like Frodo Baggins during Piori Incanwhatsit
- What the HECK was up with the Beuxbatons girls?! They had some macarena thing going on at the third task, and their enterence in to the Great Hall at the beginning?!
+ The Durmstrang boys' enterance was almost orgasmic. I leaned over to my friend Lauren and said "Harry Potter becomes a musical?"
+ Dancing scene, too cute. "Something's about to burst out of Eloise Midgen, but I don't think it's a swan"
- Dancing scene. Why are they sticking all this random stuff in when they already cut out so much of the book? They had all this weird and random dialogue in there, you'd think they'd put things from the book in there before making these weird OOC moments.
+ Bath scene!! That was TOO funny. I loved the bubbles. Loved Myrtle innuendo. Loved Dan Radcliffe's too-hot-to-be-Harry body. And Ron in the first scene when he's waking up in the Burrow? Tickets to the gun show anyone?
- No Draco. Barely any Snape. No Quidditch, not even the World cup scene! Lame.
- Only a scant few scenes with the Trio. They were pretty much seen separate or in a fight throughout the movie.
+ Voldemort. Ralph Finnes' acting was the high point of the movie.
+ Neville was adorable. I was surprised at how much he was in the movie, and him dancing made me want to squee like I have never squeed before.
+ Cedric was hot, and it made me get really misty when he died. They way his father was screaming "My son!! MY SON!!" made me want to cry
- First task with the dragons was way to over dramatic. I understand that you have to market what's going to impress audiences, but the whole flying out of the stadium and hanging on the roof of a tower was a little much. It wasn't even that big of a scene in the book.
+ In the scene with the lake, where Fleur's hair is wet and down, she looks like my roomate.
- A little bit of OOC-ness: Wormtail did not cower, cringe, and wimper enough for my taste. Harry was a tad snobbish at times. Dumbledore was never really that pushy or mysterious in the books, at least not till the fifth or sixth book. He was just creepy in this one.
- The acting on Harry and Hermione's part just seemed a little juvenile this time around. The whole confused youth look is getting a little old on Harry. That really only worked for Orlando Bloom for three or so movies, anyway. Hermione was not that impressive either. I just feel like these kids have not grown in to their roles at all. Granted they have limited screen time, but I feel like they're doing the same stuff they've been doing for the last three movies.

And I wish I was home now. Not four days from now.
