This is a list of the 50 most significant science fiction/fantasy novels, 1953-2002, according to the Science Fiction Book Club. Bold the ones you've read, strike-out the ones you hated, italicize those you started but never finished, and put an asterisk beside the ones you loved.

I've read most of them, probably 90 to 95%. Many are good, but if these are the top 50, someone isn't reading very much.

Where are David Brin, Poul Anderson, Connie Willis? Octavia Butler? Anything written in the last ten years?

On the Beach was just awful, IMHO.

Oh, but neither of the DUNE movie attempts came anywhere close to the book. It's worth it.

Have Interview With A Vampire if you want it next time I see you. It is excellent, but hard to get Brad and Tom out of your head (though why you should want to I'm not sure...)
