Yeah, the newspaper article I read did have a quote from Cadbury's, reassuring everybody that their products were still veggie.

but they don't make Milky Way, or Maltesers, or Minstrels...

Animal rennet is used in stuff like cheese, too. And a lot of sweets (candy) and desserts have gelatin in, which is also gross...

This is just arse. I already don't eat Nestle products on ethical grounds, now Masterfoods is turning against veggies. Grrr. Still, it's good for the figure and it will make me even more determined to go for the fair trade stuff. Double feel good chocolate mmm... Nonetheless I have been haranguing Masterfoods but as yet have no reply?

Did you phone or email? I rang the number and got straight through to customer services. She said they've had an 'influx' of calls, but couldn't tell me (obviously) how many. She took my name and address though, and logged my comments, and said they were being looked at.

I pointed out that Walkers had changed cheese and onion crisps to a veggie recipe due to demand, and that I thought that they were taking a backwards step in this. I also complained at the way people found out, and that I've got no idea what I've eaten in the past couple of weeks. We just have to hope that they'll take us seriously now...
