For someone with a military background, you should know not to be adding people incapable of combat to begin with.

Disapproval aside, I'm left with the impression you won't have someone out there to at least command our forces? Leaving us out there without a commander is a poor decision.

Also, "Region Six"...?

Even noncombatants serve their purpose, and Shifts are too unpredictable to deny those selected. As the saying goes, "beggers cannot be choosers".

Your village has already demonstrated the capability to lead, and my soldiers' attention is needed elsewhere. Or do you believe that your battles are the only ones that are ever fought throughout this world?

[Just gonna ignore that last bit. A designation is just a designation, nothing more.]

So they're basically nothing more than scapegoats, used to possibly deter attention away from those that can fight.

I at least expected to be left with someone who has some familiarity of the location while out there. Or would that deter too much of your soldiers' attention?

It isn't that the soldiers who ventured into that area are unavailable. It's that they're all dead.

...That doesn't sound very promising at all. And this is all the information you could gather in the end? [So logically, they're going to send us when their soldiers had fail?]

I must admit, the chances of accomplishing this mission is very low. You are aware of this aren't you?

Quite aware, which is why I've chosen to send your group rather than my own soldiers yet again.

Even if you can only manage to decrease their numbers for a while, I will consider it to be beneficial to us all.
