Yet another I hate idiots post
On Tuesday, the Daily Wildcat staff made a serious error in judgment in printing a cartoon that some readers felt was homophobic and inappropriate. We heard from several readers who expressed their disappointment and hurt over the comic strip.
The Arizona Daily Wildcat is now reviewing its editorial policies and has terminated the employment of the cartoonist as of Wednesday. His views do not represent the views of the Wildcat staff, nor does the Wildcat represent the views of the university.
The “etc.” cartoon in question illustrated a parent threatening their child if he ever came out, and the two characters joke about the threat. We agree with the criticism we’ve met, and we apologize. The comic was not funny.

This trash infuriates me more than I can possibly put into words. The newspaper had the good sense to fire this horrible cartoonist but how did this even make it past the editing room? Was there seriously not one editor who said "Wow, this comic is horribly offensive and not the least bit funny." The even more disgusting thing is that there are people in the world who would agree with this. How dare this evil cartoonist try to make a joke about parents who would kill their own children just because of their sexual orentation? I can't even imagine the reactions from parents whose children were bullied or killed because of their orentation, or parents whose children killed themselves because of the rejection they faced from people like the person who drew this cartoon. Some people just need to be expelled from the face of the earth. The world would be a better place without people like this spewing such disgusting hate.
