So the weather up until Wednesday last week had been fairly hot and dry for quite a while. Then on Wednesday it pours down. Having a week of school hols, I'm at work that day. After a really crappy day on the phones, I'm getting ready to leave, look out the window and realise I'm probably going to get drenched on the bike despite wet weather gear. ( Read more... )

Ah, poor Mal! Still, I'm glad you're mostly okay! Did you ever find out why your bike was so opposed to stopping? Was the tire sliding or the brake not grabbing or what? Not that it really matters, I guess, since any of them end with you doing an iffy Superman impersonation! Remember what Arthur Dent said: the whole point is to *miss* the ground when you fall! :p Well, heal up soon and well! *virtually signs your cast* And tell G I said hi!

O___O

I'm glad you're only banged up. Please keep us aware of how things progress with your leg. :(

Perhaps a fabulous dinner out once you're mobile?

Thanks. Will do.

That's a good idea. First choice would have been the steakhouse where we got engaged but it closed down last year. Well, it was a bit more than just a steakhouse - it was a 4.5 star restaurant that specialised in steaks. :) I'll find somewhere. Thanks for the idea. (I'm not thinking too straight - painkillers actually do have disadvantages!)
