Life goes onwards and upwards

I was just (belatedly as always) posting a reply to Jez when I figured I should tell anyone else interested the same news. (This is a slightly modified version of the reply I sent Jez.)

For those keeping track at home, you might remember that I broke my leg at the end of March. (I came off the bike in the rain. There's a previous post about it somewhere back there, ask away if you want details. I've even got x-rays to share if you can handle that sort of thing :) Well, as of today, I'm finally walking around without assistance. I was on crutches for a while then one crutch then a walking stick and now, I'm finally free, even if I do still limp a little.

Study is going well, we're onto the final game project for the year - just in time for one of the more successful developers in Melbourne to offer me a job! I start on the 30th. (School Mon & Tue, work Wed-Fri) For those into games, if you know Puzzle Quest or the Warlords series, I'm going to work for the company behind those titles, Infinite Interactive (aka I2).

So I got to hand in my resignation last week at my current job which felt soooo good. I've been wanting to get out of there for a while. Since about six months after starting, actually. But that was nearly six years ago. Where does the time go?

Actually.... that means I've known some of you for.. about seven, maybe eight years?!? Holy crap! Where does the time go???

Anyway, on the home front, now that I have a good job etc, Gaia wants babies (yes multiples, the more the merrier apparently but one or two is more likely) so... well, anyway, she's still losing weight (thanks to the lapband) so the doc says that should help increase her fertility etc but we're both getting tests to check everything out. The doc says that if there's any issues it's pretty unusual for them not to be able to work something out so we can have kids, so I'd say sometime in the next year or two we'll be having some sleepless nights with middle of the night feeding times etc. Well, we hope so :)

Gaia wants to go back and do her Masters next year. Umm.. what else? That's about it I think.

Catch you all next time I remember to check in. If anyone feels like contacting me, any reples are emailed to me or email direct to malorion at hotmail etc. (Just dot com, there's no hotmail com au.)
