Well, changing projects as of mid-September (not sure what day, have heard the 12th and the 19th, but I need to train up the people taking over from me on what I'm doing now.)
The reason for changing projects? Our partner company is Vietnamese (I think?) and all the docs / source / tech support is in English. I am the only person in the company who

Wait, you're the only person in your company that speaks English? Despite English courses being a (I would assume) part of the Japanese educational curriculum?

As all Japanese people will say, they don't study English for 6 years, they go to English class for 6 years (i.e. the body is there, the mind isn't)

English is really badly taught in Japan, worse than foreign languages in the UK or US (which only have a bilingual rate of 50-odd and 40-odd percent respectively, with MUCH higher immigration rates)
