Relief!!!
Finally, it's not so hot!! We had a rainstorm last night and that cooled thigns down dramatically. The couple of days before, the air was dead, so even fans weren't helping. Curse the Germans for their no air conditioning!! We are lucky, we have 6 fans because we bought some last summer. One of my friends only has one, and the store is completely ( Read more... ) -

I'm gong to attempt to make one of those cakes that has the barbie stuck in the middle of it. I've already baked the part that's supposed to be the skirt, and layers for the bottom. The part I think I might have trouble with is the icing. If there were remedial cake decorating classes, I'd need to take them. I am not naturally gifted in the cake ( Read more... ) -

I first tried knodel a few years ago when my neighbor had them at Christmas dinner. I assumed they were made from potatoes, because they seem "potato-ey". But they're not! They're just stale bread and eggs and a few other things. I wouldn't exactly call them healthy, but they are really good with some vegetables and turkey gravy ( Read more... ) -

PPD woes
I'm currently suffering from depression. It really kicked in towards the end of pregnancy, and it's still hanging on. I'm fortunate, it's not the psychotic kind, but it does impair my enjoyment of life and affects my interactions with Jason, Mal, and Wyatt negatively ( Read more... ) -
