"When men began to increase on earth and daughters were born to them, the divine beings saw how beautiful the daughters of men were and took wives from among those that pleased them. The LORD said, 'My breath shall not abide in man forever, since he too is flesh; let the days allowed him be one hundred and twenty years.' It was then, and later too ( Read more... )

Are you a Watcher, given the duty of protecting his precious humans, that lusts after the daughters of men?

Genesis.

And the books removed by the Catholic Church, that Satanic institution, and replaced by the writings of Paul.

No need to get so snappish at the church, bro.

I find it hard to believe there were giants...

Aheh, more amused than snappish. It'll be fun to torture them in Hell.

There were. Of course, Nephilim didn't just come in the form of giants. But the majority did, due to the fact that, although Watchers--angels--have the ability to procreate with anything organic, that doesn't mean they were meant to. The clash of DNA often created an utter disaster in regards to the children.

What's the point of all this?

Research. Don't like it? Skip over it.

That was a pointless explanation. A bit rude, are we?

Only as rude as the one who started this little conversation.

The hell you care about Nephilim for.

I wonder why.

Well...The way I figure it...There's two kind of people I know of that usually give a shit. Well, three.

Either:
1. You're some crazy, apocalyptic nutcase all about the world ending, and thus're brushing up on the scriptures like a good boy so you don't go to Hell...

Or

2. You're one'a them freaky bastards who goes after the Nephilim for whatever 'higher purpose' in your head, be it for good or evil.

OR.

3. You are one.

I'm lingering between two and three.

Well, let's look at it from those facets, shall we?

1) I'm already going to Hell.

2) More often than not, Nephilim are drooling, cannibalistic fools, and therefore of no interest to me.

3) Mommy always said I was special.

The poor Grigori were punished to lose their physical bodies.
