Low IQ

Computers may be stupid, but having to search for a "low IQ" power supply seems harsh.

(IQ = quiescent power, power that the power supply uses to run itself, I need something in the not-very-many µA range...)

Plenty of PSU's do that - or is this a PC-specific thing?

It's for a wireless sensor I'm designing (to step down the battery voltage to the 3V logic supply). Finally found a nice Maxim part with < 30µA IQ. Maxim have a really cool parametric part selection table thingy too, slide sliders to set parameters and the parts available changes. Cute!
