Football is a game for gentlemen, usually played and watched by hooligans.
I think that sums it up.
But banning it? I don't think the economy would take the strain. I do not offer any solutions , but unless the game gets itself organised, it could face severe restrictions on numbers allowed into away matches, heavy bills for policing home games, etc.
