Tuesday started at 40,000 feet somewhere over Africa, I think I was asleep at the time. Virgin’s food is noticeably better than American Airlines’ and they serve Johnny Walker Red. Bonus.

That is an impressively hellish airport experience. Airports generally are a small slice of hell anyway (except hong kong, which has masseurs and showers and is quite a pleasant place to be stuck for a few hours), but that's gone one step further - and even a chorus of pessimistic pilots! Excellent ;p

That sounds incredibly like what happened to me in Dubai, including the worry of luggage disappearing, the sheepish backward walk through security and the terrible coffee :P
