well, mom's cardigan has taken more brain power than i had hoped.  for some reason, this pattern has been a complete puzzle for me, resulting in three or four frogging sessions, and one, only one, completed piece.  which is a sleeve, no less.  but a perfect sleeve, and that's really what's important, isn't it?

the cable blanket is still on the back

well, i *do* like red. :) i think that part of the problem with knitting for myself is that i feel like if i put in all that time it has to be PRACTICAL, whereas when i knit for other people, i just knit for fun!
