So at the urging of a 15+ year childhood friend, I created myself a Facebook profile. Still haven't added pics yet, but that is coming. I have then spent the past two days messing about with it, adding people, finding people, amazed at how many HS kids now have kids of their own. I suppose it didn't help that I have had much else to do, being at

If you're not sure they remember you, that's what adding a note is for. And if they don't want to friend you, they'll ignore you. But I think you'll be surprised how many people will remember your name and want to be connected to you. I have had a few requests from HS people whose names I definitely know, and a few requests where I'm glad they had a good profile photo so I can go "Oh - him!", and a couple of requests where I had no idea who they were without the note because they didn't include their maiden names in their profile. And then, of course, the family members and the current active friends.

I got friended on Facebook by a few grade school & high school classmates who I could not stand way back when. But I friended them back on the principle that they never actually did me any harm and they also haven't done anything to piss me off in 30+ years.
