Training sounds like it is going GREAT! kiane36 February 3 2004, 08:23:48 UTC
it sounds like your training is going good. I am glad you have found a place of your own. It is a wonderful feeling to be in your own home and knowing you can play in the dirt and do what you want!
These storms have played havoc at our dispatch center also. I worked all weekend long and we had so many wrecks. I-70 was a sheet of ice but people couldn't really tell until they were in the ditch. My 3 12 hour shifts went fast. Are you in Ks or Ne? Kansas also has a Douglas Co. I love working 911! How many more weeks of training do you have?

Sorry about that ramble!

I live in Iowa, but I'm working in Omaha, NE. Last Sunday was my first day on the phones. It wasn't as nervewracking as I thought it'd be :)

Mind if I add you to my friends' list? It would be nice to hear what another operator's experiencing. I haven't been online regularly because I'm staying at my parent's place for another week. Usually I update everyday or every other day.

Definitelyadd me to your friend list~is it all right if I friend you back?

Trust me, dispatchingand call taking will get much easier! There's just SO MUCH to learn at the very beginning! Eventually this will be old hat to you and you will wonder what you were so nervous about. If you are ever in Abilene, KS, let me know and I will give you a tour of our facility!

Hope everything is going well for you!

Trust me...I commute 45 minutes twice each day (70 miles total). The commute is the worst part of working.

I want your new address, when you get it! :)

I actually don't mind the drive, it gives me some freakin' time to myself. I do wish I had a CD player in the car though. It sucks paying so much for gas, too.

My new address is 3759 Ave D, CB, IA, 51501

ps. I saw Robert Saenz driving his car yesterday! He has a shaved head.
