I don't know if we had the same teacher for that self-defense class, but I distinctly remember not liking my instructor.

I understand how you feel. After my guy-with-a-gun-breaking-into-my-apartment-while-I-was-asleep incident in Wilmington, I had Dan come stay with me at my apartment once I was ready to go back and never quite felt secure when he wasn't around. Even now, I still get extremely anxious sometimes if I hear unusual noises at night, but I feel better because Dan is there. Which is kind of stupid, because I think I could probably take someone at least as well as he could and probably know more about being safe in those situations than he does. I don't know if it's so much having a man around as it is not being alone. Nonetheless, I totally get what you're saying.

i believe it was the same teacher. don't remember her last name but her first name was patricia, and she was tall and blonde and from texas and clueless.

i think it is more of a not being alone thing...the cat doesn't really make me feel more secure, you know?

yeah.
