i don't normally vote in primaries.  well, i did last time because i hadn't in 2000.  but by the time our non-super tuesday primary came, it was pretty clear that kerry was it so i just went ahead and voted for sharpton.  it was fun.

I didn't even know that you were still posting here. :) I had given up checking but for some reason found my way here just to see if there might be anything.

Anyway, I think it's total bullshit for feminists to be whining about women voting for Obama. I voted for Obama, for pretty much the same reasons you described above. I heard one woman being interviewed say that she couldn't believe that a woman would vote for Obama after everything women had to go through. And I'm like, uh, you know, black people didn't exactly have things handed to them with a silver spoon.

And I'm with you, it's ridiculous to vote for someone just because of their gender. I pride myself on being quite the feminist, and I am a big Obama fan!
