So glad your finding things that work! Re: arthritis pain, have you tried Alleve or the generic, naproxin? I found that that worked as well as taking the ibuprofen regularly (like every 6 hours, around the clock) but was easier to remember to take. If you take them regularly like that, you may be more comfortable than if you just take them when you start to hurt more. (prevent the pain vs chasing after it) And don't worry about your liver-NSAIDs cause kidney damage; it's Tylenol that causes liver failure. ;) Also, Tracy swears by Traumeel or other topical arnica preps for joint pain. I rarely remember it so can't give any personal reccs, but it's something else you could try.

Monica

Two things that I think are very important to note based on what I have learned about my food allergies and related symptoms so far this year ( ... )

Well, at this point, all I've met are doctors who want to treat the symptoms... and so far, all they're offering is steroids. I'm trying to squeeze the light therapy wand out of them... another friend who has been wrestling with psoriasis has had incredibly good results with it... but not much luck so far ( ... )

If it'd help, I can ask my doc when I see her tomorrow morning if she can recommend anybody in the Chicago area. It won't guarantee they'll be on your insurance plan, but might give you a different starting point. My doc is a vitamin pusher too, but she'll happily let me get the goods from food instead of supplements as long as I'm willing to eat right.

If you need info about the lab that did my celiac panel, ping me via email. It cost me about $150 out of pocket; they'll bill my insurance and if the insurance company doesn't pay I'm not responsible for the balance (about $1350). If they do pay I'll get a refund. This is standard on their intake forms, so it'd be a matter of your doc ordering the lab kit and paperwork. The billing is done by the lab.

Katje I know you are very fearful of needles but the blood panel sounds like the right thing to try.
I'd even foot the $150.
Something to think about....
