I took a seminar/class with Cheri Erdman many years ago (probably 1998 or so) and it was really the first major stepping stone toward size-esteem and fat acceptance for me. I also recommend Ragan Chastain. She's a professional dancer and blogger (her blog is called "Dances with Fat.") She has a book called FAT; The Owners' Manual, sold on her website on a pay-what-you-want basis. There were a ton of typos, but the ideas within were provocative.
Cheri was one of the founders of Abundia, a retreat for women of size that I got to attend this year... and Ragan was the guest presenter! She is an incredibly positive, powerful person and I feel so very blessed to have had time to hang out with her in addition to her workshops. Love her blog, bought her book, and can't wait to dance with her again!
I'd encourage you to steal it, but you've already done a great job of summing up your last year and looking forward to your coming year! I wish you many good things, and hope to get to come play with you and your babies as soon as I can!
Three great bloggers to watch out for are : The Militant Baker (she is amazing and provocative and has completely changed how I view society and how they treat fat people), Curvy Girl Lingerie, and The Body Love Movement. AMAZING women.
Have you thought about crocheting a rug with fabric strip scraps? They go really fast! I hope you get to CA!!! I would love to see you, I missed you last year.

Hmm... hadn't thought of trying to make one. That's an idea...
I know I've seen you at a WEF sometime in the past few years! This year for sure!

(I should have admitted that most, if not all, are recycled from previous years. Nothing really original except some of the books.)
