Why do I apologize?

Last night, I had just downloaded my new recipe software (I know, I'm a geek), and I was busy entering in all of my recipes into my computer. Thomas was asleep and Matt was going to bed. No problems, right? Until a half hour later, when I head downstairs and hear Matt shushing Thomas and Thomas crying. I had no idea he was awake, or I probably ( Read more... )

Eric was like that, too, until I made him figure out how to do it on his own. I left him at home with Milla for 4 hours one Saturday and went out with my girlfriends. I think Milla was 4 months old at the time, and it was the first time I had left her with him for more than 30 minutes at a stretch (running to the grocery store during her nap, etc). When I came home, he was still in his bathrobe (at 4 pm), unshaven, unshowered, and looking completely frazzled. But he was VERY proud of himself. I think as long as you're in the house, you're a safety net, and it's just easier for him to let you do it.

I think you're right. He does really well when I'm gone for a couple of hours - like with my interview on Sunday. They are both intact and usually pretty happy when I return. So, I know he can do it, I guess it's just so much easier for me to do it when I'm here. Of course, there are worse things to be than the person who takes care of the boo-boos.

That sounds like something I would like since we plan our meals every week. Would you like to share info? =)

Sure! I got it from www.recipecenter.com. There is a trial period of 30 days, and after that, you can buy it for $30. Nothing more ever, which I think is pretty good. And when you download it, it comes with hundreds of recipes already in the program, which is pretty cool. I always like new recipes!

Thanks for the info. I find that it is less stressful to plan our meals and shop weekly. At dinner I can pick what I want from the list. Coming up with menus is the hard part.

P.S. I have no suggestions on your vent. Sometimes it just feels good to get it out.
