I know -- was Reese wearing a vest? He says something about Cahill being a good marksman, does he mean that he just grazed him? We should have gotten to see him with his shirt off and a nice bandage like in the Judge episode. He does appear to be unconscious when put into the car trunk --it's a wonder he didn't have issues with smoke inhalation too, but it's all in a day's work for our Reese, right?

Yeah, that whole part completely baffles me. If he was shot, wouldn't he be bleeding and need medical attention? If he was wearing a vest, wouldn't the bad guys have been able to tell and have sussed him out as a rat sooner? And somehow the shot makes him unconscious, but still able to wake up, roll out of the burning car, and then proceed with Carter to take out the CIA dudes. HUH??!! Oh well, like I said, he SURE LOOKS GOOD! But I agree, we were ROBBED not to see another shirt-off-with-boo-boos scene! ;)

Yes, there are a few holes in that ep, although I do think the writing overall for this show is really good. " If he was shot, wouldn't he be bleeding and need medical attention? If he was wearing a vest, wouldn't the bad guys have been able to tell and have sussed him out as a rat sooner?" The problem is, as you've pointed out, either way there are problems. Maybe I should pick one and write a missing scene... one that includes his needing a bandage, obviously.

No, Reese doesn't take his shirt off nearly enough. I've been spoiled by Hawaii Five-0 where Steve takes his shirt off all the time -- when wounded, swimming (they do that more in Hawaii than in NYC!) and when we see him in bed, which is frequently, lol. And my dear Jim Ellison of The Sentinel had his shirt off hundreds of times throughout the series! I guess JC likes to keep his on more, but give us a break, Jim!

That dude was a total asshat! Plus, he sets himself up to get his life ruined, anyway, even though John gives him an out in the end. And he DID totally shoot John in the shoulder AND locked the trunk AND set the whole thing on fire - you'd think he'd have been a little more helpful!

Yeah, what did he put in John's hand, or coat sleeve? A freakin' flashlight? What if John hadn't woken up? Had bled out? Had dropped the light? Or didn't even find it? I know he had to look as though he was actually killing Reese, but he certainly could have helped him more.

So, you think it was his shoulder? I was thinking lower, maybe a graze to his side, which IIRC, seems to be where he indicates to Carter.

It looked like upper chest/shoulder. I'll have to go back and re-watch it.

How many times has John been shot, starting at Ordos?

Ordos - 2
Snow/Evans - 2
Asshat -1
Judge's son kidnappers - 1
Armored car delivery guy - 1

I know I've missed something! I have a theory that John's shoulders are his 'Achilles heel'. Shot in the gut - no problem. Shoot him gently on the shoulder and you're guaranteed that he'll pass out!
