Blood test...

Yesterday I had a blood test done just to confirm that I was, indeed pregnant.  It was positive, to which I said a resounding, "DUH."  There was no doubt in my mind that I was pregnant, I just needed a blood test to confirm for the midwife.  Now I can call them and make an appointment for an 8 week ultrasound

i vetoed the blood test and several other prenatal tests/proceedures. anyways i got almost all of my clothes from gap and old navy when i was pregnant. cute stuff!! as always if you every need tips on this or that let me know!

Yeah, I needed the blood test b/c the midwife's office would have required me to take one anyway. However, I'm not having an 8 week ultrasound, because it's an internal ultrasound. In November I had one of those and 2 days later lost the baby. I know it probably had nothing to do with it but I'm just not comfortable having it done this time. I have a 10 week visit with the midwife set up for March 17th. I won't be quite 10 weeks, but close enough!
I honestly can't wait to wear maternity clothes and have my belly show. Haha. I plan on hitting both of those stores.

insurance will usually cover any u/s that is okay'ed by your midwife (ps good choice going to a midwife!). we didnt have a "viability" u/s at 8-9 weeks. instead we waited until 22 weeks so he was bigger and there was much more to see and enjoy and not just a little fleck on the screen.

This is great! Congratulations! I was just looking at your journal and noticed that I've actually missed a bunch of your posts. My goodness ... this cloth diapering community that I've joined is invading my friends page. I wonder how many other posts that I care about I've actually been missing? And I can't bring myself to take it off of my friends page because I'm afraid I'll miss something important. Like what? I'm not sure ...
