Ok, this is weird. I saw you on parents of twins commenting on another post. Your post caught my eye because my name is Jody and my kids call me Mama. I have a female partner, so sometimes they have to differentiate and they call me "MamaJody". Then I was like, "wow", I'll have to say hi so I clicked on your profile. I, too, live in Connecticut and am a recovering public school teacher... I now teach in a private special ed school. Uncanny.
That is amazingly cool! My loverly children are all homes schooled now, so I get my post PS therapy that way. lol! I get to do whatever I want, whenever I want with their education. What private school are you teaching at? I was in SPED my last year. I worked with SED kiddos at the Hartford Transitional Learning Academy, (HTLA).
