* Olivia has to get ear tubes put back in but we can't do it for a month because the insurance says we have to try Claritin for a month, first. And she can't hear. Seriously. She's, like, deaf in one ear ( Read more... )

* poor kid. tell her the F-troop in farmingdale NY sends their love and hopes dhe gets better soon.

* Same thing happened to Caleb and Taty. What's wrong with kids these days? don't they know that their teeth are supposed to fall out?

* I wish I could come see the kitchen you designed...*smirk*.

* I've been implementing some of your bexican food in my weekly menu rotations for dinner. The kids love everything I've tried so far.

*The packing tape sculptures RULE. The kids look like they had a lot of fun with the project. You RULE as an art teacher.

* Weather was nice after the rain stopped this morning up here. Leaves are just starting to change.

* Amy Winehouse's eating disorder was due to her crack addiction.

* Black Walnut festival sounds like fun.

* Miss you too.

* I colored my hair. It's too dark, but I still like it. I need to boof it up on top so I can look like Amy Winehouse... minus the eating disorders.

And the bad attitude, the partner abuse, the foul language, the arrests....er, right?! :D

That video/project was brilliant! You are Da BombTM. Why didn't I get to have you as my art teacher when I was in school? (I mean, apart from the whole 'we were in school at the same time, I don't live in the States and I'm an unsavable heathen and so wouldn't be likely to be found in a Catholic school' thing...?)

I really really hope your babies feel better soon.

*hugs*

Hahahaha! That video was awesome! That's the "secret" method we used in the SCA for making corsets - you tape up the torso snugly, making sure the edges of the taped part follow the lines you want your corset to follow (or trim the edges into a nice shape along the top and bottom). Then you cut it off along the seams, where you would want the seams or the boning to be. Once you have the several pieces cut off, you squish them flat and use them as patterns to cut your corset material (adding seam allowance) and sew it back together (with boning if you like) and zippers and such.

I love the way you installed the sculptures all over the school!
