I think I figured it out.
Here are some photos of the sweater I finished today.
Her hands go all the way to the ends, and it has to be cuffed, but that is how the pattern shows them - cuffed. But she likes it uncuffed.
And how it looks cuffed. She loves it. And so do I.

It is a DC with each stitch alternating front & back loops. The neck is FPDC & BPDC alternating for two rows. I love this pattern & might make more sweaters. Made with Bernat Softee Chunky.
