Why do some people never grow up? I really do wonder how this gene seems to skip people or something. I called one of my very close friends, Lisa, yesterday, and she didn't answer the phone, so I leave a message. I call again today, no answer. Finally, she returns my call after a few hours and shes like "oh I feel like crap, blah blah blah" and ( Read more... )

I know what you mean. I look at people who do drugs and I'm a bit baffled, yeah they were fun when I was in high school but like you said we see it now from a Mother's point of view. Having kids really does change things, but so does time and most do grow out doing hard drugs but some don't and it's sad but that's what the choose and we have to just let it go. And be proud of yourself for growing up. You are very responsible and it's a good thing! And I was totally thinking about you this morning and what you were going to do for your birthday.... dinner...movie...???

I know what you mean! Any time I come in contact with old friends or even current friends that are into that type of lifestyle I'm very turned off by it. I often stop calling them or caring, not because I don't like them but because the lifestyle is opposite of mine and not something I think is appropriate once you get older. But having children puts your view point in a very different place than if you had none, which I actually think is a good thing! Sounds like an addiction that she's got to kick to the curb and unfortunately theirs not much anybody can do.
