Chicken ...er... Egg Update!!

Last Thursday the kids found two eggs in the yard. One on the lawn and one on the deck. The one found on the deck was cracked. Friday, one egg was found. Saturday nothing. Then one egg Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. It's like a freakin' Easter egg hunt around here! Most of them were left on the deck and in some way cracked. I almost swept one of them

I've been thinking about it. I think that the places would vary based upon age, sex and sense of humor of the egg layer. I think teenagers would leave eggs under couch cushions for maximum mess effect. Most men would leave them wherever they had them. Women would manufacture handy and cute boxes for the storage and toting of such eggs and produce them in a variety of styles and patterns.

Oh honey thanks for making me laugh! That is too funny! Yeah, I was going to suggest putting a faux egg there where you want the laying to happen. They even sell them at farm stores. I love your chicken stories, keep 'em comin'

Yeah, I just happened to have a wooden egg from one of the kids' baby toys that still hangs around. It's a wooden shape sorter box. I'm thinking, though, that I might pick up a few more fake eggs from the feed store for the other boxes.
