It's become a surreal world

I was feeling discouraged. This morning I woke up and my first thought was "I live in a time when NASA has gone rogue. There is something totally badass about that."

It was heady having such hope again, but as the day went on and I talked to friends I realized something.
I am living in a country where civil servants have been forced to go rogue ( Read more... )

I can't take your opinion on science seriously when you think taking away an official Twitter account is the "silencing of research."

That isn't a rational response. It is a hysterical response.

I wasn't talking about the taking away of a Twitter account. Though I can see how someone who is not following me on FB would mistake that. The silencing of the Twitter account just gave an avenue for people to use. I was talking about politicians being in control of what research is allowed to the public and what isn't ( ... )

A libertarian wouldn't shudder because a libertarian thinks it shouldn't be funded by the government in the first place. The research has ALWAYS been tainted from that -- it was just taint that the scientists who work for the government agreed with, so they embraced it. Besides, weren't all these people promising to quit if their candidate didn't win the election? Why are they even there to argue about it?

The USDA inspections are all voluntary. It's not like the people who had something to hide were calling them to inspect in the first place.

It isn't my fault if your arguments are shameful. If you feel shame, it is you and your arguments bringing it on. This entire sham has laid bare the rank lie behind the "civil servant" system -- they are neither, and it's time to stop pretending that they are.

ROTFL!!!

Cupcake, if you want to dance, bring data. I spend my days being insulted by idiots who can't find a home button on their phone. I'm not about to give a damn about someone who thinks that hysteria means acknowledging an emotional reaction to something.

Come on, you can debate better than this. Or is my memory off on that?

This is the first time in my life I am truly ashamed to be born in the USA. The US is turning into Nazi Germany and a portion of people (Trump supporters) think this is a good move.

Your comparison is an insult to every single person who died in the holocaust. What has this administration done that even compares with Kristallnacht, much less the holocaust?

Your histrionics are why Clinton lost.

BTW, the broken glass so far? From YOUR crowd on Jan 20. The only ones burning Muslims and Hispanics out of their livelihoods are the people setting fire to limos in DC.

So there was a peaceful protest on the day and only a handful of protesters broke a few windows and set fire to a limo, but ALL the protesters are being lumped into one by you. What about the millions of protesters who peacefully marched all over the US and the world the following day?

I suppose you are also happy that 20 million+ people will lose health care if nothing replaces Obamacare?
