Lovely, lovely, lovely.

And in my opinion Will in a white linen suit makes a welcomed addition to any fic :)

It is a engaging sight, to be sure...

I am happy you enjoyed this. I hope at some point to revisit Havana once again. For now, Jack has at least created a small slice of paradise for us to enjoy.

Did I ever mention how much the love affair Jack has with Pearl means to me ;)?

"careful not to cover the inlays of the Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman. This table represented what the Flying Pearl truly was - a boat without previous history, filled only with memories shared, a sanctuary for the two immortals. An escape into a world long past, when the wheel of time moved in a slower circle and traveling was as much about the journey as the destination." I truly believe this is one of the sweetest things you have ever written and by the gods, sweet is just as vital a literary (sp?) venue as any. And oh, yes indeed--the journey, started with a Disney ride and happening still in my heart--plus a rainy morning, isn't this just the best, the absolutely best snuggly world on the outside, me on the safe fluffy inside! Could hear the beloveds and rain--yeah!

Thank you. I remember fondly growing up in Miami, the rain beating down on the awnings, so loud at times it would drown out the television. And how cozy and safe I'd feel snuggled in my bed...

Time needs to slow down sometimes, we all need to remember those days, don't you think?

I am happy you enjoyed this. Thanks for reading. :)

You do know this tale was the one thing that kept me from parching entirely?

The pain it caused me, yes, the tears I cried on behalf of Will and his pain, and then the elevation when everything was fine again, getting even better with Jack sailing them away from what threatened to force them into the mundane.

This story, in its entirety, encompasses in a few days the very reasons why it is possible for them to keep on living, literally, ever after. And I do not give a shit how many times I use this as an emphasis, because it is true: Together, come what may.

Granted, I bristled, argued, refused to believe, that Will would just wait it out in the beginning, but, you know what? I'm not sure if he even believed his own doubts. Refused to believe, just like I did.

Did I happen to mention that I love this, and how much I long for Havana? :)

I know you do, I long for Havana too. It will return, with the summer heat, though I am afraid the memories they savor will not be the ones they still have to live.

That is pretty much it, isn't it? Life does not always offer up Junes and moons and Ferris wheels. Sometimes it offers up pain, and loneliness and fractures. But, in the end, working their way through these times is what keeps their love for each other eternal.

I know you understand. And I am grateful for your existence.
