Fic: Of The Logic Of Magic (Sherlock BBC / POTC)

Sep 05, 2010 16:32

John Watson liked visiting the museum. After the daily tsunami that was Sherlock Holmes, the museum was a quiet, static, blessedly still refuge.

Browsing through the exhibits for him was akin to practicing Zen (although John had to admit he had never attempted the latter). Perhaps this sense of calm and clearing of mind was what his flat mate ( Read more... )

Damn this is Good! But we can lay off scaring the bejesus outta me with accidents. Love the idea of Holmes and Sparrow==that's going to cover some ground indeed! Way to go, love your twisty brain! More more more, oh, you already knew that! Thanks.

Sorry for the scare, but all is well. Well, sort of. The most vulnerable part of Will is missing, and being held hostage. Who better than Sherlock Holmes to find it?

Oh, btw, this is based on the brilliant, new series, 'Sherlock' on BBC. It hasn't been released here in the States yet (end of September, watch for it!) but can be seen on YouTube. I highly recommend it.

Thanks again, as always, for reading.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even connect it at first because I was reading these on fanfiction.net. I loved them. Even better now with Sherlock/John.

Lovely! We have toyed with the idea of a Sherlock Holmes/Pirates crossover for some time, and I actually did start another story in the Victorian age. But when the modern Sherlock came along, it was an absolute must for the men to meet. And the Museum seemed a logical place for them to bump into each other. :)

Thanks for reading. And, btw, the stories are much prettier on here on LJ. :)

Mostly all of my writing is POTC based, with a dabble in other fandoms. I hope you enjoy what you read.

Ohhhh, EXCELLENT! XD!!!!

There are so many lines that I loved in this.

I adore the idea of Jack parading around the British Museum and refusing to use modern dress and teaching "history". *G*

Recently been to America, Florida I would say, possibly the Keys. - This made me grin like a loon!!!

“You know what’s the matter with the world these days?” Sparrow had finally said, after the fourth interruption, turning to his audience with a sigh. “I’ll tell you what, mates. There is no magic. Nothing is unexplained, nowhere is unexplored. There is nothing left to tantalize the imagination, cause men to sail across uncharted seas, to risk life and limb to discover unknown worlds.”

Oooh, poor Jack. *pets* I know exactly what he means! (Loved this whole bit!)

And I adore the conversation with John at the beginning about Friend's and Colleague's. (Loved your definition and distinction between the two as well!)We all know he's shipping S/J ;P

Loved this!!! And happier than ever to have unleashed the rabid plot bunny! ;D

You started this! :P

I love Jack and his improbable history lessons as well. If you haven't read them, the Museum series has many more.

I do hope you might chime in with plot ideas as this progresses. I think it will be a blast.

I am happy to hear it works for you. I know crossovers are not a lot of peoples' cup of tea, but this one seems made to happen.

Thanks for reading, and hope you enjoy the rest of the story.
